Lütfiye Uzun has established “Göcek Yacht Service” in 1991 and decided one year later to open “Dr. Jazz Bar”, a cosy jazz bar to offer her guests the best welcoming possible. “Dr. Jazz bar” is known for its outstanding, relaxing atmosphere.

“Dr. Bar” is located in the center of Göcek on the sea side promenade facing the main entrance of the public marina. “Dr. Jazz Bar” and “Göcek Yacht Service” are since nearly 20 year door to door neighbors.

The Dr. Jazz Bar at Göcek is the sister of the famous “Dr. Jazz Bar” at Duesseldorf / Germany.

Lutfiye was often guest in the ”Dr.Jazz Bar” at Duesseldorf when she participated since the early 1980 at the “Boot”, the biggest german boat show at Duesseldorf. She fell in love with the “Dr. Jazz Bar” and became friend with the owner.

When she opened her own bar, the name “Dr. Jazz Bar” was naturally her first choice. She got the permission to open her bar with this name from the owner of the German “Dr. Jazz Bar”, Luise Dassen, a famous German jazz singer and very close friend of her.

At the “Dr. Jazz Bar” we play mostly classical music during the after-noon,ideal to enjoy a coffee reading a book, a newspaper etc. or just to have a look around the stunning scenery of the harbor of Göcek and the bay with all the yachts. The ideal place to chill out during a holiday after-noon in the cool shade of the “Dr. Jazz Bar’s” terrasse.

In the early evening the music changes to jazz, blues and other relaxing music ideal to have a sundowner or an aperitif and to chat with friends. During the evening it can happen that ambiance turns out to a dancing party or a live piano night. Surprises are never excluded.

The shady terrasse of “Dr. Jazz bar” is a real secret garden in the middle of Göcek with its various plants and flowers surrounding the terrasse like a frame.
